R420 Supplies is a Smoke Shop located in Portarlington, Co. Laois. This is along the route of the R420 road, from which the shop gets its name. I've lived in the town all my life, so opening the shop here seemed like the perfect idea.
I opened the doors in May 2021, just as we were coming out of Covid restrictions. The building had been vacant for a few years so it took a lot of work to make it look the way I wanted. The photo below shows how the shop looked on Day 1.... the 17th of May 2021.
Since then, the shop has grown to be an industry leader in the Cannabis Paraphernalia / Smoke Shop scene here in Ireland. The range of products has massively increased too. I now carry a large selection of Rolling Papers, Grinders, Bongs, Vapourizers and CBD Products.
In December 2022 the shop was added to the exclusive list of RAW Trusted Sellers, further strengthening our relationship with the brand. I now stock all RAW Papers, Cones, Tips, Accessories and Clothing and ship them all over Ireland and the rest of Europe.
I've been a feature at most Cannabis protests and events in Ireland since I first opened the shop, supporting various groups like the Cannabis Activists Alliance and the Major Group for Cannabis Reform, campaigning to make Cannabis legal here in Ireland.
